We Had No Idea These Celebrities Had Adopted Children

Tony Shalhoub won fans as the detective on Monk. His wife, actress Brooke Adams, adopted daughter Josie as a single mother before they met. After marrying in 1992, Shalhoub adopted Josie too, and the couple adopted their second daughter, Sophie, two years later.

Josie followed her parents into entertainment and works as a writer. In 2020, she welcomed her first child, making Shalhoub and Adams grandparents. Sophie has stayed mostly out of the spotlight, though she has occasionally joined her parents at public events.
