John Denver sang favorites like “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and “Annie’s Song.” He and first wife Annie Martell adopted Zachary and Anna Kate after struggling to have children. Denver often spoke about fatherhood with pride, saying being remembered as their dad mattered very deeply.

Zachary and Anna Kate have largely stayed away from show business. Denver’s official German fan club reports that Zachary lives in Colorado, while Anna Kate lives in New Zealand with her husband. Both also have children, building families of their own outside their father’s spotlight.
