The Biggest Career Comebacks from TV Actresses, Ranked

Katey Sagal’s big hair and tight pants made Peggy Bundy unforgettable. She played the lazy, bonbon-loving wife on Married… with Children from 1987 to 1997. She later voiced Leela on Futurama, too, but Hollywood saw her as a comedy actress only.

Then she proved everyone wrong. In 2008, she started playing Gemma Teller Morrow, the fierce biker queen on the hit drama Sons of Anarchy, and won a Golden Globe in 2011. Going from Peggy Bundy to one of TV’s scariest moms is a huge, jaw-dropping turnaround.
