The Biggest Career Comebacks from TV Actresses, Ranked

Lynn Redgrave starred in House Calls (1979–1981) as a hospital administrator who falls for a doctor played by Wayne Rogers. Sadly, she was fired after asking to bring her baby to work so she could breastfeed. Her career cooled off for years after that.

But in 1998, Lynn earned an Oscar nomination and won a Golden Globe for Gods and Monsters, playing a loyal housekeeper caring for a lonely movie director. Nearly 20 years after losing her sitcom, she was back in the big leagues. That’s one sweet revenge story.
