#38: Stéphanie Arrived Seven Years After Albert
Grace and Rainier welcomed Princess Stéphanie on February 1, 1965. Nearly seven years had passed since Albert’s birth, making the new baby considerably younger than her siblings. Their family now included two daughters and a son, each growing up with a different place in the royal household.

For Grace, the arrival meant returning to the demands of caring for a baby while raising older children. Palace life could provide help, but it couldn’t make every parenting decision simple. As the children grew, they would notice differences between their parents. Albert later remembered one clear distinction in how they handled him.
