#36: Endless Wire, the Album
In 2006, The Who released Endless Wire, their first studio album in 24 years. A lot had changed since their last one—music, culture, even the way people listened. But Pete still had stories to tell, and Roger still had the voice to deliver them. The album didn’t try to sound young.

It sounded reflective, honest, and rough around the edges in a way that felt earned. Some tracks felt like diary entries, others like messages to old friends. They weren’t chasing trends. They were writing from their current life experiences. And that, in itself, meant something.
