#26: Roger Daltrey Kept Going
After the band stepped back, Roger Daltrey didn’t fade into the background. He continued to sing, releasing solo albums that allowed him to explore different aspects of his voice and identity. He also found a new stage in film, playing tough, complicated characters in movies like McVicar.

Acting gave him a different kind of spotlight, but music was always home. He continued to perform, sometimes alone, sometimes with the band. There was something steady about him—even when The Who seemed uncertain, Daltrey never stopped moving forward. He didn’t try to reinvent himself. He just kept showing up and doing the work.
